Lean Six Sigma

Here is an overview of the warehouse I was given control over for my internship. I used my skills of 5S and Lean Six Sigma and change the warehouse into a functional and clean storage facility that operates under the principles of Lean Six Sigma. This was performed at a company that creates aggregate and as such cleanliness was a significant concern.

Before

A warehouse with narrow aisles, haphazardly organized items, no evidence of inventory control, storage space wasted on items that are not necessary for operations, and a thick layer of dirt covering everything.

After

A clean, easily visible storage facility with organizational bins, wire shelves to reduce dirt build-up, free space for other operations with reduced inventory of non-operationally required items, clearly indicated zones where no items can be placed for safety.
